The themes we intend to bring into CoolCity_Univers-city are varied and broad: starting from the historical presence of water in the texture of the city of Naples, continuing with the fight against climate change. It is our intention to expand the objectives in other cities of the world, exploring issues such as urban ecology and therefore biodiversity, environmental restoration, knowledge of resources and broad themes of climate change to architecture, water, etc., interconnected topics that require an interdisciplinary approach that Cool City wants to sponsor by placing itself as an exchange center between the different universities.
The course floats along different accademic programs in several universities spread around the world. It starts January the 4th in the University of San Diego, California with professor Kyong Park, it moves on in the Vanvitelli University of Naples with professor Raffaele Marone at the end of February, and Hervè Dubois in Paris val De Seine Ecole d’Architecture from March. Later the testimony goes to Cristiano Luchetti and then Nick de Pace in the Rhode Island School of Design.
These cooperations want to be the starting point for the development of a wider network. Part of the work implemented in this network can flow into CoolCity_Venice – Korean Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale which has as its theme: Future School, a theme in which CoolCity_Univers-city naturally fits for its operational and pedagogical methods.
